We recently had a customer use case that cited the following requirement:

The Manage Requisitions page allows users to search for requisitions belonging to other requesters using the Requester LOV. However, the LOV displays all persons that belong to any requisitioning BU in the organization. This customer wanted to restrict the search capability whereby the search results in the LOV would only return those Requesters belonging to the same business unit as the current requester.

This is supported using some configuration via the Security Console.
