Is there a way to force a course in the system to open in a new window?

I have the new course player enabled and running into issues with the older courses opening up in the limited window in the old style pages.   Is there a setting in the system that I can't seem to find to force the course to open in a new window?   I know we can do that in the SCORM settings but I was hoping to now have to do that for all of our courses.   Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
