Translate Closing Balance at avg current rate where no movement

Is it possible to translate the closing balance of an account at the current FX average rate when there is no movement

Hello brains trust, I have a historical equity account that is carried forward each year but l want to translate the entity currency value to AUD for the current period at the current period average rate. I have tried a translation override but it seems to just carry the balance forward and doesn't "re-translate". I do not want to use the historical amount override because we have so many periods we are loading (I know that's not ideal but client insists). Is there something else l can do to make it work like the following please?
