Standard Spreadsheet templates embedded in Application Pages - Download records to update them
Many Application pages (such as the Workforce structures pages for Jobs, Locations and Departments) have the option "Manage in Spreadsheet" that allow to create and update the business object using HSDL.
I was expecting that, when opening the preadsheets from the embedded the application pages after performing a search on that page, the records fetched with the search were already available in the spreadsheet to be update,
Instead the spreadsheet it's always empty. Is this the expected behavior? If yes, in order to update existing records with the spreadsheet we have to retrieve the records using a report and copy them into the spreadsheet? It's not so straightforward.
