Two basic BI Report Questions

Summary:

Hi - I am using a custom data model which contains a mandatory parameter.

I have defined the report output to default to Excel.

I have 2 questions - please see attached PDF for full steps.

Please see attached "testing.catalog.txt" for catalog file for my test report, save without the .txt format to get the catalog file.

I have 2 questions:

  1. How can I configure my setup so that when viewing the report, it does not immediately run and then return a warning to say the parameter needs to be completed. I'd like to populate the parameter first, then click Apply.
