Core HR: Unable to cancel work relationship for a suspended - payroll eligible assignement

Summary:

Hello,

The same person number has two records. One is active-payroll eligible and the other one is suspended payroll eligible.

Our client wants that only one record should be displayed (the active - payroll eligible one).

So, we want to delete the suspended record or at least put it inactive.

We have set the work relationship to be 'No' for the suspended one but unable to cancel the work relationship.

Can someone advice on how to resolve this issue.
