How to control maximum time worked based on quarterly/semi yearly/yearly limits in time cards

Content

Hi experts,

There is a requirement from a customer. They need to limit worker time  based on quarterly/semi yearly/yearly intervals. Some categories of workers don't have a weekly limit - 40 hours, but instead have quarterly or yearly limits.
I learned, it is possible to use time entry rules that check timecard's limits (e.i. weekly limit 40 hours), but how to come up with a validation rules for the requirement mentioned. And how to identify those categories?

Maybe sombody faced with something similar.

Howdy, Stranger!
