Purpose of Extend Temporary Assignment and Projected End Date

Summary:

We're not completely sure what's intended with these two and what are their exact impact.

  • For a temporary assignment, entered Projected End Date seems to be an only informational date info, it does not an effect on end of the temporary assignment. Is that true?
  • First we start a temporary assignment and just after that we enter a future-dated end temporary assignment record. What we need is to postpone the end temporary assignment action to a 10 days later date, without deleting that entered end temporary assignment action. Let's say Temp asgn started in 10 April, sysdate is 18 April, end temporary asgn entered with 30 April and we need to shift that temp asgn end from 30 April to 10 May. We thought that in this case we can change the end date of the temporary assignment with the use of Extend Temporary Assignment
