Link site extension to osf repository

We have a requirement to link the site extension to the osf repository.

That is, we are now uploading the extension by deactivating the existing and deleting the extension and reuploading using upload extension button in admin console. The issue with this is when we reupload the extension the existing data is gone, and we have to add the data to the extension again under extension settings.

Is there any way to handle this via osf repository.
