How To Add a Dimension to Workforce

Need to add/turn on a dimension in Workforce that is already in the Plan cube

We have a Class dimension in our Plan cube, but it is not in workforce. We would like to add it to Workforce, since our teams plan/forecast using Class. However, when I turned it on in Workforce, all totals ended up in "Class" (top of hierarchy) and I was unable to clear them or move them to a base level. Is it possible to add a dimension to workforce? Is there a certain order to do things?
