Can the Contract Type associated with the Awards changed after creating many Awards

Content (required):

The customer had migrated more than 500 Awards during Go live and the Contract Type used had Soft Limit for Billing Control. However the Award needs Hard limits for billing control. The client wants to change the Contract Type associated with existing awards along with any new award created using the Award Template. Is it possible to request Oracle Support to update associated Contract type in case no change is allowed in User Interface
