Cannot end and Assignment due to future dated Position Synchronisation

Cannot end and Assignment due to future dated Position Synchronisation

We are coming up against an issue that seems to be illogical. The situation is this;

An assignment has to be ended for an employee, however the end assignment process fails with the message that there is a future dated Position Sync update to the assignment and therefore the assignment cannot be ended.

We use position sync to update the assignment with the following changes

Position Name

Parent Position

Department

Job

In this case the future dated Position Sync is updating the Parent Position ( and therefore the manager) and it will not allow the assignment to be ended. this has happened a few times now and does not appear to make sense.
