Update Supply type of Level 2 or 3 Component item in Work Definition

Hello Experts,

I have created a Work Definition for an Item that has multi-level Item structure.

However, when I update Supply type of Level 2 Component item (which is in Item structure of Level 1 Phantom Component Item), it does not update the supply type in Work Order.

I can only view Level 1 Component Items in Work Definition.

Want to understand how to update Supply type of Level 2 or Level 3 component items so that the Work Order shows correct supply type??

I tried using "Process Item structure changes in Work Definition" Process, but even this did not help.
