Change Probation End Date without changing the Probation Period unit value

We have legislative requirement that if employee has absences during probation period, the probation period end date should be prolonged by the amount of missed working days, but the initial probation period unit value should not be changed. Example:

Employee probation period: 3 months

Probation End: 07-AUG-2023

Employee is on sick leave/vacation for 2 weeks.

Expected values for probation (this we can be adjust manually)

Probation period is still 3 months

New Probation End: 21-AUG-2023

The problem is that HCM automatically changes Probation Period units when Probation End Date is adjusted. So value for Probation Period is 3,5 months, not 3 as needed.

Asking for suggestions how to achieve this. In EBS it is possible to change Probation End Date without affecting probation period unit value. We need similar solution in HCM as well.
