Is there a way to reduce the payload for the adapter for CPQ->OIC->Subscription Management

Summary:

The SOAP payload generated using the provided CPQ to Sub Management (OSS) Adapter is causing Subscriptions over 500 lines to exceed Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) 5 minute service limit. 500 lines subscriptions are approximately 25MB. The largest subscriptions (4000 lines) are resulting in 250MB messages. Looking for similar experiences or help with how to (1) reduce the payload size and/or (2) alternative methods of implementing the provided recipes with low/no custom build work.
