How to default a timecard to have 0 hours measure?

Summary: Is there a way to default the quantity field for one day for all rows to 0? We already are able to default a payroll time type, which is great, but we need to default the hours to 0 - for just 1 day or all days (this part does not really matter). We do not want to use the generate timecards feature. We want this defaulting to take place upon an employee opting to create a timecard. See images:

Content (required):

It could be for just the 1st day, or all days - it does not really matter as long as enough cells have a zero defaulted to move forward with the timecard.

Howdy, Stranger!
