Learning Plan Bluk Loader - Date Assigned

I know I can test this (and I will) but wanted to post here in case anyone knew the answer for my immediate gratification!

When you use the bulk loader to assign a learning plan, if you put a date in the date assigned field that is in the future, does the learning plan actually not get assigned until that date arrives? So you could use this as a scheduling tool as well?
