How do I get absences that are ongoing during a period but may start/end outside it?

Summary:

We are trying to build an absence summary report that shows individuals off between two dates but the start and/or end dates may not be during the dates in the parameters:

Content (required):

eg Date parameter is 1 June 2023 to 30 June 2023

Employee has absence from 25 May to 5 July 2023

This employee is off during the period and therefore needs to appear on the report.

But if I use Start Date = 1 June 2023 and End Date = 30 June 2023, they won't appear on the report.
