Is there any way to convert Standard material to config one.

Is there any way to convert Standard material to config one., There is a requirement where we need to identify some standard parts as config materials and add those accordingly, but Standard Parts Search "Add to Transaction" always add those material as Standard. Is there any way to convert those to config material for reconfiguration without deleting and adding another one.
