Will there be a replacement in Smart View for the HSGetVariable function?

Summary:

HSGetVariable is a legacy function showing in Smart View to pull Substitution Variables, but the functionality is not currently supported. This would be helpful for users.


Content (required):

If it was possible to pull various Substitution Variables such as Current Period/Year, users could make much more dynamic Smart View pulls. Are there any plans to recreate this functionality? If not, I'll submit it as an Idea.
