How to add additional days to Schedule Ship date to account for time required for Shipping.

Summary:

Our client wants to add additional days to SSD calculated by GOP if the SSD is same as order date. This is required to account for time required to pick, pack and ship even though the inventory is available. Is there a way to achieve this via extension or transformation rule?
