How will the Action Plan attributes be updated for a future action plan?

Summary:

How will the action plan attributes be updated in the below scenarios:

1) An adjustment is entered for Mar-2023 period and the action plan close date is a future date i.e. for the period May-2023. This essentially means the action has not been taken yet and hence the 'Action Plan Closed' attribute is marked as 'No'.

2) Now, when we move to May-2023, the prepare has performed the required action to close the action plan and want to update the action plan attributes pertaining to the adjustment of Mar-2023. 

3) What is the right approach of updating the action plan attributes? Would the Preparer go back to Mar-2023 reconciliation, change the status of the period from 'Locked' to 'Closed' and update the attributes to change the values of 'Action Plan Closed' and 'Action Plan Close Date' or does he need to keep copying the adjustment to the next periods until the action has been performed and then update the attributes in the current Rec period(i.e. May-2023)?
