Impact of Overriding Assignment Number

Summary:

We want to have Assignment Numbers to have prefix based on country code such as US1000, UK1001. We can override the Assignment Number while hiring. However, we need to know if there is any adverse effect of this?

Content (required):

We have the Person Number Generation Method set as 'Manual', due to which we can provide any Person Number while hiring. However, it has the potential risk of not being able to maintain the numbering series. Hence, we are planning to change the Person Number Generation Method to 'Automatic Prior to Submission'. This automatically generates the Person Number while hiring an employee. However, this limits the possibility to have separate Person Number series for different Legal Employers. In this case, we want to prefix the Assignment Number with the country code before the Person Number such as US1000, UK1001. We
