What updates do I need to make?

Hoping for some guidance here... much appreciated in advance. This is unchartered territory for me, so my apologies in advance.

Our SQL Server that the Essbase HYP* databases reside on is being replaced with a new SQL server running Windows 2016 (currently has Win 2008). We are currently running Essbase 11.1.2.4.002. Wanted to ensure this wouldn't cause issues.

In addition, I'm being told that they can use SRM to copy the HYP* databases over to the new server. Is that a good plan? Will everything still work?

Obviously, I'll need to point everything to the new SQL server... how do I go about that?
