Override Inspection Disposition Status of Sample

Dear Expert,

Is that possible to Override Inspection Disposition Status of Sample using REST API?

Use case is that for a specific characteristics business wants to enter the result but it should NOT be considered in determining the status of Inspection Disposition. It should be just recorded.

What I was thinking that if result is out of specification then Using API we can override the status.

Please suggest if that's possible.
