Doubt about Information Sharing to internal recipient

Employee is able to share information to others. To external recipient is working as we expected.

But for Information Sharing to internal recipient, we noticed there's no content to select for sharing, it's said

"By sharing information with <internal recipient name>, you are allowing the person to access the information in your person spotlight."

Per my test, it just leads the internal recipient to the person's page in Directory. But any internal recipient would have this access to other person's page through Directory already, then what this sharing is for? And how does it work if employee revokes the sharing (while recipient would still see his/her information through Directory)
