Need Advice on Absence Accrual Balance Transfer for Shift Changes

Hello Oracle Cloud Community,

We're facing an issue with absence accrual balances when employees switch from Shift (Type A) to Non-Shift (Type B). Currently, the balance from 'Annual Leave Shift' doesn't transfer to 'Annual Leave Non-Shift' when this change happens.

I'm considering creating a universal 'Annual Leave as Days' plan for both types, with two absence types ('Annual Leave Shift as Hours' and 'Annual Leave Non-Shift as Days') linked to it. I plan to use a fast formula for hours-to-days conversion.

Is this a good approach? Any potential issues or better ideas?
