VM not reachable via public IP.

I have a Windows 2019 standard VM created in a private subnet. Customer requested a public IP attached to it.

a) Created another VNIC and placed it in a public subnet. Could not reach the server via the public IP

b. Deleted the instance but maintained the boot volume. Created an instance using the boot vol and placed it on a public subnet so that it can have a public IP. Couldn't reach the server using both private and public IP.


I need assistance with this to be able to reach the server using both private and public IP


Note: When I create a new VM in a public subnet and assign it a public IP, I can RDP or SSH into it using the public IP.
