Import with Ranges into GL Application Type in EDM

Summary: Confirm inability of EDM to load value Ranges into GL Application Type?

Content (required): Client is transitioning from EBS to Cloud ERP + EPM. They are used to loading/managing value imports and updates simply using ranges. Our project team for Cloud GL has been able to successfully load ranges into GL directly.

Client is expressing concern about initial upload and ongoing maintenance when needing to supply values as opposed to value ranges for EDM to import. As opposed to loading in Account 1234 for a hierarchy, they're looking to load [1000-1999] and have the system be able to import, and populate the remaining hierarchy values automatically. Our development team does not deem this possible within EDM, and would simply like to confirm that imports require a listing of discrete values in a hierarchy.
