OTL - Payroll elements - do they need to be recreated if Payroll is already in Production?

Summary:

Looking at implementing OTL. Our Payroll module is in Production. Standard Elements have category of Standard (not Time Card).

Would the current Payroll elements need to be recreated to be used with OTL?
