Unable to add a new supplier record with the same name, even if the existing one is made inactive
I am not sure if this is an issue or system behavior. The system does not allow us to add a new supplier record with the same name, even if the existing one is inactivated (and has a different tax ID).
For example, we have a supplier # 1832 named "Suits with Style" who has a new tax ID, but using same name. I tried inactivating supplier 1832, then adding a second supplier with the name “Suits With Style” and the system does not let me add. In this case, we have not paid any invoices under supplier 1832’s old tax ID.
