How can we return the value of a Single Select Pick List using the CPQJS standard instruction?

we have a list of values of type Single Select Pick List and using the CPQJS standard instruction: CPQJS.getAttributeVal('nomeVariabile') the system returns "Nome Variabile:[object Object] and not the value.

Is there a way to have the value of the values list and not object Object?
