Phase in phase out feature

Summary:

I am a planning Practicing consultant

Our client wants a Product Life cycle management (PLM) feature.

Business Looking for Phase-in and Phase-out functionality.

They want to replace the RM or PM in the existing BOM (Based on the feature effectivity date).

Currently user calculates manually for each month which product is phase-in/Phase-out, the existing on-hand stock of the old Product, or New orders for new materials in this case business facing complex.

Business Looking for the system can tell which material can replace within X months 

instead of so-on-so Product
