R13 18B Merit worksheet save functionality differences between icon and drop down menu to save

edited Sep 5, 2020 12:17AM in Compensation

Summary

There is inconsistent functionality in the save methods for the merit worksheet

Content

We opened and SR related to the inconsistency between the save icon in the merit worksheet and save menu in the drop down upper right hand corner.  This will be very frustrating for our managers worksheet experience. Wondering if any other users have experienced this?

Oracle has created a bug for this item

28416889

When using the save icon there is a pop window displayed that shows a confirmation or an error message related to a triggered alert.
When using the save and close or save drop down menu item no pop up notice shows on the screen. The screen either just closes (using save and close), or just saves (without confirmation) or doesnt even close at all because there is an alert preventing it from doing so. But no alert pops up on the screen to tell you what is happening and why the window will not close.

Howdy, Stranger!
