How to modify a seeded dashboard?

We need to modify some elements of a seeded dashboard according to client requirements.

Grateful if someone could provide standard procedures for modifying dashboards.

Also,

After copying the seeded dashboard to a new location and renaming, do we need to modify all the objects,

or can we modify only one analysis, place it back into the dashboard while leaving the other seeded ones unaltered in the dashboard?
