We have a legacy manufacturing solution that we cannot sunset as it is comingled into our legacy WMS.

The only objective we have from planning side is to make sure we are planning for the component buys based on the parent demand. We are feeding demand planning as an external source since we are not using OM.

Can we use kit type to simply drive demand for components without using OM?

Can we use Make Type to suggest a WO Recommendation without setting up Work Definitions and Routings/Resources in Planning?

Again, we simply want to ensure that our forecast for a parent includes the child components.
