Smart Pushes on Ad-Hoc SmartView submissions?

We have setup our application so that all of the forms have a Smart Push assigned to it so that users can go to an ASO reporting cube to see instant aggregating results.

However use cases have arrived where a direct submission via Ad-Hoc SmartView may occur. In these instances, is there a way to apply a SmartPush? My understanding is that it won't be possible as the Groovy aspect of the push must be on a Web Form.

I haven't worked too much with Flex Forms and Free Form planning. Is there a use case for either of these solutions? I wasn't sure if a SmartPush could be applied to something like a Smart Form.
