Interproject billing when provider and receiver projects (both ) ARE IN SAME Business Unit

Does Interproject billing works when provider and receiver projects ARE IN SAME Business Unit.

We are having situation that we have two Business Units ( BU1 and BU2) under same L.E and have below cases:

Case1:

ProjectA is in BU1 and ProjectB is in BU2

ProjectA linked with External Customer so it will be the Receiver.

ProjectA requires services from ProjectB thus the ProjectB will be provider.

So this case we know that interproject billing will be used easily.

Case2:

ProjectX is in BU1 and ProjectY is also in BU1

ProjectX linked with External Customer so it will be the Receiver,
