Burden Calculations based on Fixed Date

Summary:

We have a requirement in which we like to calculate burden amounts using a burden multiplier version based on transaction GL date which is always current or in future rather than using expenditure item date.

Based on Oracle books, we can define fixed dates at every task burden assignment which will be utilised to drive the burden version multiplier. This could solve our problem, but the challenge is to update this fixed date every time on huge number of projects/tasks to follow the new multiplier version every quarter for us.

In our business process, we update the multiplier every 3 months by creating new versions. The problem is- any transactions with historical expenditure item date in current open GL period will still use the old multiplier based on version from and to date.
