    Removing Position Code from Assignment using HSDL - not working. (Not updating to NULL)

    Summary:

    HI all,

    We have a requirement to remove Position code for few employees ( few 100s). I tried HSDL which is used to update Position code. It works fine for updating new Position Code. But when I try to update it to '#NULL', it is not working. Assignment gets updated with new Effective date / Action code but no updates to Position ( not blank) .


    To give more details, If i pass Business Unit and Position Code (#NULL) I get error message invalid position id, when I remove BU and # NULL as position code, process says success, but nothing happens to the position code. Assignment gets updated not position.
