Supervisor Approval in Quality Workflow

Summary: Need Insight on Supervisor Approval using BPM Worklist

Content (required): We have requirement to add next status approver [Immediate Supervisor] based on the employee who submit the workflow.

I have gone through the BPM task but the supervisor/ Hierarchy approval is not yet implemented. I am also thinking from REST API perspective. Let me know if anyone has implemented supervisory approval in ECO workflow or Quality related workflow.
