Unable to submit absence entry for employee no error message flashed. No response from Oracle SR

Summary:

We have an issue with the vacation absence plan. we enroll people based on the anniversary date. now we are suddenly facing an issue where the employee cannot apply for absence but the manager and admin can. An error message flashes with no box message. Please see attached images. I raised an SR and got a bad response from Oracle. Oracle asked us to remove the anniversary formula and it worked. But I am not able to understand why
