How to create a dependent time card field that is transferred to Payroll

Summary:

We have a requirement where in based on the Payroll Time Type that is selected we would like to display another field on the time card.

This field will have values depending on what was selected in the Payroll Time Type.

On approval this value should be passed to Payroll.

Any idea how to achieve this requirement
