Clarification on the Advanced Save for external configurator

Hello everybody,

I was able to follow the help topic for setting up an external configurator, but I got stuck at the Advanced Save.

It's not clear to me whether that refers to a manual Save, in which case I have no navigation buttons at all, once my external configurator opens in the iFrame, or if submitting the external configurator triggers the Save and the BML is what will run on that action, which didn't seem to work either.

Should there be a line item in the LIG once the external configurator is called and returns to commerce?
