How to correct Position Synchronization Configuration in Enterprise or Legal Entity?

Summary:

We have enabled Position Synchronization as on June 01, 2023. Created a Person record with Position as of Jan 01, 2022.

Ran the 'Synchronize Person Assignments from Position' ESS Job. Position Details are not synchronized in the above Person Record.

Can you please let me know how to correct 'Position Synchronization Configuration' to past date or do we have any other option to inherit
