Uploading records to PIM

Content (required):

We are changing our business rules regarding child records in PIM. We have 1 catalog and for every master record in our catalog, we will be uploading a child record for all 8 orgs if they do not already exist. Our question is, what is the maximum number of records we can or should upload per excel file. We believe there will be approximately 100,000 total records to add. Also, is there any reason multiple users cannot be uploading files at the same time?
