Oracle Infinity Product Release Notes for December 20, 2018
in Unity CDP
The following enhancement has been made to Oracle Infinity Data Collection:
- Pixel Tracking. Oracle Infinity now supports the collection of data using a tracking pixel, such as a beacon, 1x1 GIF, or transparent GIF, with a customized payload. These pixels are typically used to track the opening of emails or ad impressions, for example, where JavaScript and POST requests are not allowed. Instead, a pixel can be used for this type of tracking.
The data collection API supports Base64 encoded payloads for the purposes of data obfuscation. The payload is then decoded and processed alongside other data being collected. The payload is made up of an "&" delimited string containing key-value pairs (e.g. a common URL query string) and it supports UTF-8 characters, as well as Base64 encoding.
