Eloqua Campaign & Insights reporting

I admit it, I have a problem...I like to over analyze my email campaign.  (Disclaimer - I am somewhat new to Eloqua).  Up until now I have been creating many segments per email blast so I could see metrics per segment in the Email Performance by Segment report.  I have two concerns with this approach 1) The intersect, trims, etc. are exhausting 2) The segments are static.

So another option is to create a segment at the highest level, put it in a campaign and then split out the group.  I like this approach...it is real time and i can ensure the groups are mutually exclusive.  My one problem is reporting.  Is there a way to set a group for reporting in a campaign?  I would love to select the last filter/cell before the email and label that group and then see it called out in reporting.
