PURL pages and Google analytics
Hi there,
I am currently studying google analytics and I was wondering if someone had come across this problem.
You arent really allowed personal identifiable information on google analytics but what if you used a web data lookup to call back a PURL page that a user would click on.
This would mean that you would get the PURL id bit being pulled into Google Analytics, i,e subdomain.domain/gregstaunton1713
This would then show up in exiting pages - probably somewhere at the bottom but there none the less.
I am going to do some research into this and will post my findings at the end. But has anyone come across this and if so how did you solve it?
