Limit number of emails per contact for defined timeframe

Hi all,

I'm working on fully automate the marketing campaigns in my organisation, but have elements of the campaign coming into play later on in time. Just wondering if there is a way outside the canvas to limit the number of emails a contact is receiving in a certain timeframe? For example, if a contact is already in a canvas that has been activated 2 months ago, and the same contact will enter a canvas activated today, in order for me to avoid deactivating and amending the first canvas, can I use any other criteria outside it? For the newly created canvas
